Who Are We?

We are among the millions of Americans who believe that what is built in place of the Twin Towers should be at least as tall and symbolize our resiliance, not our retreat.

We are turned off and fed up with all the shenanigans at Ground Zero. We're not going to sit by and watch while the restoration of the World Trade Center is hijacked by the likes of Libeskind and Pataki.

We reject the ridiculous "bargain" of one-for-the-price-of-two: one mediocre tower to replace two powerful icons.

Other cities that have suffered devastating destruction have rebuilt bigger and better — London, Berlin, Rotterdam, and Tokyo immediately come to mind.

Surely New York is at least as great a city as any of these. Why can't we?

If the whole city had been destroyed, would we only rebuild half of it? Of course not. Why then only rebuild half of what was destroyed on September 11, 2001?

We chose the Memorial Beams as the signature image of this site for two reasons. First, because they recall those early days when we were so devastated and so united. And then as a stark reminder that unless we join forces and act now, the Twin Towers will never be more than a dream.
